Laily is an engaging, perceptive, compassionate, and respectful executive with an eloquent communicative style that has manifested in a distinguished, upwardly progressive 30-year career across Canadian Private, Public and Social-Purpose Sectors.
Laily is no stranger to the applications and merits of fostering and cultivating innovative, sustainable models through public-private-philanthropic-social partnerships. Examples which Laily has led include: accredited training and development for agri-business employees at Royal Bank Financial Group by designing a new program through Institute of Canadian Bankers, Olds College, and University of Lethbridge; designing and creating a framework for partnerships with small-medium enterprises (SMEs) to deliver ancillary clinical services such as radiology, laboratory services, through Calgary Health Region’s Strategic Business Alliances Group enabling the optimization of primary healthcare; and the advancement of medical digital innovations – project neuroArm which became feasible through an alliance and funding from Calgary Health Region, University of Calgary, MD Robotics CanadaArm used by NASA, Western Economic Diversification, Provincial and Federal Government grants, and private donors.
The uncertainty of the pandemic opened an opportunity for Laily to extend two years of pro-bono work with estate lawyers advancing testamentary plans as Wills were hastily updated. That period also enabled Laily to complete a Master’s Financial Advisory- Philanthropy (MFA-P™) accreditation and thereafter establish a specialized social impact consultancy focused on advancing a valuesbased narrative for multigenerational families, family foundations, and the institutions & advisors that serve them.
Laily advocates for both little “c” and big “C” within community, believing that longer tables, not higher walls, are essential components for a stable, equitable community ecosystem to prevail.
