With more than 25 years of leadership and business acumen spanning the private, government, and NGO sectors, Jaro Cooper helps people and organizations be more effective. As an Associate with Bespoke Social Profit Solutions, he draws on his deep experience in strategy, business planning, and organizational effectiveness to support clients in building capacity, navigating change, and achieving meaningful impact.

Jaro’s diverse professional background includes roles with the Canadian International Development Agency, Scotiabank International, Shell, IBM Global Services, and TERA Environmental. He has served as both an executive and consultant, coaching and advising senior leaders to solve key business challenges. Known for his engaging and analytical style, he brings clarity, focus, and collaboration to every engagement—helping teams strengthen performance and deliver results. His areas of expertise include strategic planning, consulting, facilitation, and business transformation.

Believing that a sustainable social profit sector is essential to a healthy society, Jaro has contributed his skills as a Board Director and Special Projects Chair for Volunteer Calgary, as a Case Team judge for University of Calgary students, and as a “Grizzly Den” panelist supporting job seekers in their employment journeys.

An aspiring global citizen, Jaro was born in East Africa and has travelled to 60 countries, living in six. Calgary has been home for the past 18 years, where he enjoys life with his family and their spirited tabby cat. Outside of work, he can often be found hiking in the mountains, travelling with his family, or pretending he can run, golf, or play hockey.
