Colleen Potter brings more than two decades of experience in public affairs, government relations, and stakeholder engagement to her role as an Associate with Bespoke Social Profit Solutions. Known for her strategic insight and practical approach, she helps clients build understanding, navigate complex relationships, and design advocacy strategies that create meaningful impact.
Throughout her career, Colleen has worked across the nonprofit, industry, and political sectors, leading initiatives that bridge policy, operations, and community engagement. She began her career in provincial politics before transitioning to the energy sector, later contributing to the Vancouver 2010 Olympics. Her work with organizations serving vulnerable populations—including frontline experience in Vancouver’s Downtown Eastside and government and community relations with Inn from the Cold—deepened her commitment to advancing social good through collaboration and advocacy.
Colleen has since held leadership roles in both politics and industry, including serving as Director of Community Relations for a Member of Parliament and leading stakeholder engagement for one of Canada’s largest energy advocacy campaigns. As a consultant since 2020, she continues to advise organizations on how to connect authentically and effectively across diverse audiences.
Born and raised in Calgary, Colleen holds a BA in Political Science and History from the University of Calgary. She currently serves on the Alberta Chapter of Canada Company, a non-partisan charity supporting Canadian Armed Forces members, veterans, and their families. She has also served on boards for the Public Affairs Association of Canada (Alberta Chapter) and Closer to Home Community Services.
A classically trained soprano and member of the Calgary Philharmonic Orchestra Chorus, Colleen finds joy through music, art, and lively conversations about everything from politics to philosophy.
