Veronica is a marketing and communications professional with 20 years of experience in the transportation, health-care philanthropy, post-secondary education, and energy industries. Veronica loves writing and storytelling, has an eagle eye for editing, thrills on the adrenaline rush of event management, and believes strategic marketing communications is critical to any organization’s success. Prior to leaving the corporate sector to start her consulting business in 2022, Veronica worked for the Halifax Port Authority, Calgary Health Trust, University of Calgary, Cenovus Energy and PetroChina Canada.

“As an advocate for mental health and wellness, I’m excited to work in social profit sector so that I can help support, promote, and create awareness around the organizations putting the wellbeing of people first,” says Groat. “I believe in asking questions that spark reflection and honest conversation. I want to bring people on a journey and make them react emotionally when they connect with a brand.

When she’s not working, you can find Veronica exercising, checking out the newest restaurants, travelling, spending time with friends, and spending quality time with her husband, kid, and boxer bulldog.
