Your Role:  
As a Fundraising Prospect Researcher & Pipeline Coordinator at Bespoke, you’ll be working alongside a dynamic team of experts dedicated to empowering non-profit organizations to thrive. Reporting to the Chief Client Officer, you will play a crucial role in identifying, researching, and evaluating potential donors to support our organization’s fundraising efforts. You will also support our internal business development processes and our clients’ fundraising efforts by configuring, populating, and coordinating prospect pipelines, as well as training clients on the systems and processes required to independently manage their own prospect pipelines. Your responsibilities will include: 

  • Apply Methodology – Utilize various research methods and tools to identify and qualify potential donors, including individuals, corporations, foundations, and other entities. 
  • Compile Information – Conduct comprehensive research on prospects’ backgrounds, wealth indicators, philanthropic history, connections, and interests. 
  • Evaluate Information – Determine prospects’ capacity and inclination to make significant contributions to organizations and campaigns on Bespoke’s client roster. 
  • Propose Actions – Provide strategic insights and recommendations to inform cultivation, solicitation, and stewardship strategies for individual prospects and donor segments. 
  • Maintain Records – Maintain accurate and up-to-date prospect profiles and records in the donor database. 
  • Pipeline Development – Collaborate closely with the development team to prioritize prospects and support fundraising initiatives. 
  • Pipeline Coordination – from research and client data, develop tools to track the progress of prospective supporters through the development cycle – from identification through to solicitation and stewardship. 
  • Reporting – Assist Bespoke strategists, executives and clients with the development of reports that reflect the progress and achievements of fund development efforts and financial projections.  
  • Stay Current – Monitor industry trends and best practices in prospect research and fundraising. 
  • Other duties as assigned by the Chief Client Officer. 

Required Competencies: 

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in a relevant field such as Nonprofit Management, Business Administration, Communications, or related field. 
  • Proven experience in prospect research, fundraising, or related roles within the nonprofit sector. 
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex data and information effectively. 
  • Excellent research skills.   
  •  Experience as a “power-user” of fundraising CRMs (e.g. Raiser’s Edge, Salesforce, etc.)  
  • Exceptional attention to detail and accuracy in data management. 
  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. 
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. 
  • Familiarity with fundraising principles and practices is preferred. 
  • Commitment to the organization’s mission and values. 

Bonus Competencies:  

  • Business writing/report writing abilities.
