Barb Giba is an experienced, dedicated professional who brings 15 years of high-level fundraising experience to the Bespoke team. In other words, Barb is a match-making guru who continually reaffirms our faith in humanity. She claims there to be magic involved in marrying the interests of a donor with the needs of an organization, but the rest of us know it has more to do with her encouraging personality, penchant for strategic problem solving and her dedication to the job.
“I love the notion of laying a foundation for current and ongoing success. I’ve been fortunate to work in organizations that had great leaders, systems and processes. I’ve seen how a good structure helps everyone work more effectively. That’s what I want to create for each of our clients.”
Barb was Associate Vice-President of Development in the Cumming School of Medicine at the University of Calgary where she secured multiple $10+ million gifts in support of health research and education priorities including the successful execution of a $100 million gift to name the school. She also worked tirelessly with her colleagues to raise $1.1B toward the city’s largest campaign, the University of Calgary’s Energize: The Campaign for Eyes High.
