Bespoke Non-Profit Solutions is looking for a Marketing/Communications Director (title tbc and as we’re still working out our own) to lead our work supporting clients to meet their development and philanthropic goals as well as evolve the Bespoke brand and help drive an aggressive agenda for growth.

Role Description

Management experience:

      Reporting to the Founder and Principal of Bespoke, you will manage and lead a team of internal marketing and communications specialists, writer/editors and sub-contractors and work directly with a broad range of clients in the non-profit sector.

 

Business development, brand awareness & thought leadership:

 

      You will walk beside the Founder, and the team, as a thought leader and idea generator as to how we can forge a more sustainable future for Bespoke and the clients we serve.

 

      With your strong understanding of where marketing and communications meets business development, you will be an active contributor to cultivating and growing new client relationships.

 

      You will oversee and implement marketing and communications strategies to evolve and sustain the Bespoke Brand. 

 

Development & execution on strategic plans:

 

      As a senior member of our team, you will be responsible for developing strategic marketing and communications solutions for our clients and have a hands-on role in implementing these strategies.

 

      You will synthesize large amounts of information to develop concise, compelling and creative marketing and communications strategies and tactics.

 

      You will work with team members to create content for all communications channels in support of client strategies.

 

Client servicing:

 

      You have the ability to juggle many competing priorities – internal and external – and retain a focus on delivering high-quality content to clients in a timely fashion.

 

      You understand the unique challenges of the not-for-profit sector and can tailor create strategies to each client’s individual needs and goals.

 

      You will work from home – at least for now.  When the world opens up – you will work from time to time in client offices and maybe one day Bespoke’s.  Hours are flexible, but we will require a minimum commitment of 4 days a week on average.

 

Qualifications and Skills 

      Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Public Relations or Communications, or related disciplines.

 

      A minimum of 8-10 years of work in development marketing and communications, or within an agency environment.

 

      A demonstrated understanding of the non-profit landscape in Calgary and a familiarity with the unique pressures of our client base.

 

      Superior organizational, interpersonal and communications skills, both written and verbal.

 

      Demonstrated experience in creating successful marketing and communication strategies and campaigns.

 

      Adaptable, quick to learn, self-directed and goal oriented.

 

      Team leadership /team player – proven ability to lead, motivate and compel others to act.

 

      Strategic thinker, ability to delegate but also ready to roll up your sleeves and execute.

 

      Self-reflective, you know exactly what your strengths are, where you want to grow and where you need to defer to your colleagues or other expertise to ensure a job well done. 

 

      Comfortable working and reporting to multiple stakeholders.

 

      Able to work well under pressure, complete multiple assignments and function effectively in a high-volume workplace with tight deadlines.

 

      Understanding of and experience in project management, budget allocation, content marketing, social media strategies, digital buying, research and analytics, crisis and issues management, internal communications, website development and maintenance, media relations, digital and traditional, advertising, events and oversee visual creative services including graphic and video design.

 

      Ability in data analysis and developing key performance metrics.

 

      Digital marketing skills/ credentials are an asset.,
